Meet our Pastor

Pastor James C. Martinez has been the pastor of Agape Baptist Church since 1991. Pastor James was ordained in 1981 at Clark Field Baptist Church in Angeles City, Pampanga, Philippines. Clark Field BC is where Pastor came to know the Lord as Savior & Lord in 1974 and where he also met his wife, Virgie.

Pastor James, Virgie, their two daughters, Javee & Verily, migrated to the USA in 1988. In 1998, the family welcomed an addition to their family, a son, Marc Ian. They continue to follow the Lord's calling in the ministry of Agape Baptist Church.

Pastor's favorite scripture is Romans 14:7-8: “For none of us lives to himself, and no one dies to himself. For if we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s.”

We would love to see you as you seek to worship, study & fellowship around God’s holy words together with us. The church is not a building, its people! Agape is not a place for “insiders” or “religious people”. It’s a place for people who seek a meaningful relationship with God and with each other. We offer Jesus, to meet him and belong, a place to discover God & serve.
